Betelgeuse

you are looking at the sharpest picture ever of a star 'outside' our solar system. This is Betelgeuse!
Betelgeuse, a massive red supergiant star in the Orion constellation, is about 640 light-years from Earth and could explode as a supernova someday. Its sharpest image, captured by the ALMA observatory, shows its glowing, uneven surface in stunning detail.
