Auroras at an altitude of 12 kilometers, captured by pilot Guillaume Laffont from the cockpit of a Boeing 777.
A pilot flying a big airplane — a Boeing 777 — took this amazing view from 12 kilometers high in the sky!
Those colorful lights you see are called auroras.
They happen when energy from the Sun meets Earth’s atmosphere and creates glowing lights in the sky.
From an airplane, the auroras look super close, like shining curtains of green, pink, and purple dancing in space.
It’s like the sky is putting on a special light show just for us!
Isn’t it amazing that you can see something so beautiful even while flying inside an airplane?”
